Chapter 4 - Measuring the Success of Strategic Intiatives

Did you know what is metrics ? Metrics are detailed measures that fied KPIs. Metrics has IT metric which is efficiency and effectiveness. Effeciency IT means measures the performance of the IT system while Effectiveness means measures the impact It has on business processes and activities including customer satisfaction , conversion rates, and sell - through increases.

Next is benchmarking , from what i learned , benchmarking is a process of continuously measuring system results, performance and identifying steps and procedures to improve system performance.

Here , we can compare efficiency IT and effectiveness IT metrics for government initiatives :

The interrelationships between efficiency and effectiveness.

if the cost limited , we have to be smart to choose PLC of our organization.

Metrics for measuring and managing initiatives include :

• website metrics
• supply chain management (SCM) metrics
• customer relationship management (CRM) metrics
• business process reengineering (BPR) metrics
• Enterprise resource planning (ERP) metrics

        All this would be apply for measuring and managing initiatives in order to gain a  better result.
